Hannibal and Filiz Mrad came to the United States from Sweden in 1999. In 2001, they opened "Bay-Route Restaurant" on Gulf-to-Bay in Clearwater. After a successful run with "Bay-Route Restaurant" (and after its much contemplation, its closing), in June 2008, they decided to open The Kabob House in Dunedin.

The Kabob House is family owned and operated. Here you'll find not only Hannibal and Filiz cooking and serving up the food, but also their 3 children, Loritzia, Babylonia and Jesus. All platters are cooked Lebanese-style with seasonings from overseas (zatar, sumac, sesame oil, roasted thyme, cardamom, Mediterranean Seven Spice blend). Every platter is freshly homemade and some are served with their signature garlic cream.
